AECbytes: New Orleans Superdome Project Profile

The New Orleans Superdome remains the largest fixed-dome structure in the world. It is a complex building comprising 20,000 tons of steel and spanning roughly 2.6M sq. ft. The dome alone is 9.7 acres and sits 273 feet above the floor. Needless to say, there are a lot of components to its construction.

In 2020, our team had the privilege of creating a BIM as-built of existing conditions prior to some planned construction and the project was recently featured on AECBytes.
